As a company that considers Innovation as a key business metric, 3M needed an engagement concept around Innovation to engage high potential employees as a part of their training programme. Keeping innovation as the theme, QuizWorks created a quiz that tested the participant’s ability to connect the dots and find patterns in the questions to figure out the answers. Senior managers of prominent companies such as Titan, Amazon, Flipkart, Robert Bosch etc were the target audience for this initiative. On analyzing the data of reviews on content, delivery and engagement of the event, the participants rated it 5/5 stars.

As a part of their annual employee engagement mandate, ACC Limited was evaluating a partner agency for conducting a quiz competition. Keeping in mind the close knit relationships which employees of ACC share amongst themselves, QuizWorks proposed a quiz competition to engage the employees and their family members as well. A general quiz was held across all their 14 plants and 4 Sales Support Units in India – open to both employees and family members. The quiz witnessed huge participation with close to 75% of the managerial workforce participating in the event. It was voted as “One of the Best Engagement Initiatives” by the employees in their annual survey.

As a leading tech company, Adobe India wanted to engage their team of engineers on general awareness around the Tech World as well as test their coding capabilities. Hence, QuizWorks designed the “Code Q” challenge which tested the engineers on their coding skills. As a part of the same event, general questions around technology were created. Held at Bangalore and Noida, the event witnessed a turnout of over 200 employees. The event received great appreciation from the participants for its novelty and engagement factor.

Autodesk India, the leading software design firm, held its annual Autodesk Boot Camp for those employed in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction vertical to enhance interactions and instill the spirit of competitiveness among the participants. A game based learning and engagement module was implemented where the participants collaborate and compete as teams.

QuizWorks held Product Presentations, followed by Team building activities in which teams had to achieve certain objectives with minimal use of resources.  A gamified assessment tool was also implemented which tested the audience knowledge on history, products and success stories of Autodesk. Close to 500 employees participated in the workshop and awareness increased by 75% during the post-assessment test.

Being in an industry that deals with dynamic trends, Bajaj Finserv were looking at an internal initiative to engage and instill awareness amongst their employees on general and financial domains. Hence, a quiz contest was designed to provide a common platform for employees to showcase their knowledge and increase awareness.

To engage over 3000 employees of the firm, an online quiz challenge and an offline quiz event was held across 8 branch locations. Regional Winners competed with each other at the Grand Finals in Pune. This event has been an annual feature since 2013.

The content of the quiz was based on BPCL’s brands, processes, competitors, industry knowledge along with general content. Participated by over 150 sales officers, the quiz was rated as the “Best Event” of the Sales Meet.

The quiz involved more than 75 scientists taking part- ranging from R&D to lab scientists. The event saw 90% approval ratings from the participants during their annual employee survey.

Birlasoft was looking at a brand property to drive innovation amongst their employees.

The Challenge

QuizWorks approached Birlasoft with a customized property named
“Ideafest” that encouraged employees to “be innovative”.

The Solution

“Ideathon” for Idea Submissions, “Creative Genius” for Best Design and “Innovation Quotient” as the Quiz were the 3 primary contests created as part of the Ideafest. The property was open to all employees. “birlasoftodeafest.com” was created that served as the website for the event. This established a shared medium of communication where employees submitted their innovative ideas, exchanged information regarding their projects and participated in online contests. Live quiz events were held in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Noida.

Results

More than 800 employees actively participated in the month long programme. There were over 1000 shares during “Creative Genius” and 150 entries for “Ideathon”.

Being a financial company that deals with dynamic and volatile changes, Birla Sun Life wanted to create a culture of learning and development through informal modes. Hence, QuizWorks designed a gamified initiative titled “Walk To Wall Street” – a contest aimed at providing knowledge about the Financial Service Industry and BSL related products to its sales representatives.

Spread over a period of 6 months, the online contest saw participation rates of 86% of the workforce and completion rates touched 80%. The initiative received a positive feedback from all participants.

As a company widely known for its tech leadership, Capgemini launched the Tech Challenge – an online initiative aimed at testing the analytical and reasoning skills of UG and PG students. Apart from Coding and Infrastructure challenges, a quiz contest was held online to engage the students.

Based on tech domains, more than 10,000 students participated in the progamme. This event has been held annually since 2012. QuizWorks were the content providers for the event.

Thus, a “Green Quiz” event was conducted that aimed at sensitizing the companies on major environmental issues and talk about best practices aimed at protecting the environment.

Held annually since 2013, the quiz witnesses participation from leading companies such as Coca Cola, RR Kabel. The event drew a positive feedback from all members owing to its engagement and novelty factor.

As a part of the Annual Day celebrations, CSS Corp wanted to engage their employees from 4 product lines. To instill the spirit of competitiveness and test their awareness on functional processes, QuizWorks designed the “CSS Tech Challenge” – a quiz contest based on technical domains.

Top teams from each product lines competed in the Grand Finale held during the Annual Day. Over 200 employees participated in the event. The quiz received an average rating of 4.35/5 in the employee survey.

Dell Study Buddy Challenge - Quizworks

Client

Dell Study Buddy Challenge is Dell’s initiative at reaching out to students and encouraging them to adopt technology in their own ways and utilize its potential in exploring and widening their scope of thinking and thereby encouraging learning.

The Challenge

One of the features was a tech quiz that was implemented at 3 levels across School, City and National Level in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities.
Each team consisted of 1 child (10-13 years) and 1 adult.

The Solution

National Finals was held online using a proprietary application of QuizWorks.

Results

The quiz drew a participation of over 800 teams.
EXL Excellence Quiz

Client

IBM The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC) is an annual nationwide software development competition, created by the Academic Initiative of IBM. The competition currently takes place in India, Israel, China, Ireland and Switzerland.

The Challenge

The Indian BPO industry weathered uncertainties in the FY12 global business environment.
With uncertainties across the globe and fringe benefits taking the hit first, EXL Services- a premier Business Process Solution Company wanted to focus on boosting the morale of its employees by giving them a break from their routine calls and also wanted to retain its talent.

The Solution

EXL approached QuizWorks to devise a series of interactions to keep the workforce engaged and motivated. Thus, the XLNC quiz was created.

XLNC quiz consisted of two phases- an online event plus an offline event. Centred around general affairs, the online contest served as a pre-event publicity. Live quizzes were held at Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Gurgaon with Regional Winners battling it out for National Finals also.

Results

Initiated in 2012, the annual quiz property is one of the most anticipated events at EXL. Participation has grown at an average rate of 20% on a year on year basis with almost 50 percent of the workforce participating in the event as of 2014.What started off as a Pan India contest is now a Global Event! XLNC quiz is open to employees from US, UK, Romania, Bulgaria, Czech Republic and Philippines.

As an entity emphasizing on innovation, Fidelity launched the Innovation Superstars to encourage its employees to churn innovative ideas on improving the business process working in the Insurance BPO in Bangalore. This event also aimed at highlighting Fidelity’s innovations amongst the employees.

Conducted and hosted by QuizWorks, this quiz featured questions primarily from the world of Business. The event was participated by over 500 employees of Fidelity.

A company focused on promoting learning and development, Honeywell were looking at informal modes of learning to familiarize employee on key HR policies. Adoption and learning rates were low during the present forms of engagement. Hence, QuizWorks launched the “Honeywell Policy Champions” – a gamified quiz to reinforce employees on HR policies related to Career Progression, Health Benefits and Internal Awards.

Key messaging from the policies was composed in micro learning modules for better retention and learning. Open for a period of 3 weeks, the online initiative drew participation among 80% of the employee workforce with completion rates at 85%. Awareness levels increased by 75% compared to traditional modes of learning initiatives.

As a journal that features specialized financial content, Mint, published by HT Media, created an online contest titled “Mint Success Curve” – aimed at spreading business awareness among the management students and to promote Mint as the leading journal for business information.

A Facebook app was created that featured online quizzes. Offline quizzes, centered on the world of business, were held across prominent cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore. Online quizzes attracted over 2000 students while offline cities witnessed over 500 teams participating across all the cities.

Client

Genpact India wanted their senior leadership to understand the functionalities and the latest developments occurring in the banking industry.

The Challenge

Genpact approached QuizWorks to devise a module that would help in disseminating knowledge and serve as an engagement platform. Hence, “The Grand Banking Mastermind” was created.

The Solution

This quiz was centered on latest developments happening in the world of banking, finance and economics. It was primarily centered around the US, European and Australian sectors- the 3 prominent sectors that Genpact caters to. The quiz was opened to AVP’s and Senior Managers at their Jaipur and Noida branches. An online prelim was held followed by a Quarter Finals and Semifinals at each location. The National Finals were held at Delhi.

The Department of IT, BT, Science and Technology – Government of Karnataka conducts an annual expo named Bangalore India Bio- India’s biggest event on biotechnology which covers the impact of biotechnology on agriculture and healthcare.

The Challenge

They wanted to reach out to the student community as well.
QuizWorks approached the Department with an approach note of creating an annual quiz property that reaches out to the top universities in Karnataka. Hence, the “BioQuiz” was created.

The Solution

Open to B.Sc., B.Sc. – Agri, B.E.-Biotechnology and B.Pharma. students across Karnataka, the first edition was held in 2008 across 4 cities with around 200 teams participating. The quiz is aimed at updating the student’s knowledge on latest developments in the biotechnology world and to provide a platform for them to interact with industry leaders. An online quiz and an offline quiz is conducted. Cities such as Mysore, Shimoga, Dharwad, Hubli, Bagalkot, Mangalore, Bangalore and Bijapur have been the host cities for this event.

Results

What started off as a 2 city event in 2008 has now expanded to over 6 cities in 2015. The quiz annually receives registrations of over 500 teams- making it one of India’s largest ever quizzes.

IBM Social Genius - Quizworks

Software Universe, IBM India’s flagship software conclave, where the sharpest minds in business and IT come face to face to embrace the future of enterprise technology. 607 delegates, over 360 business leaders and entrepreneurs, 1400 software enthusiasts and over 375 organisations from across India.

The Challenge

IBM Software Universe was looking at a mode of engagement to highlight the importance of social connectivity among the conference participants.
IBM approached QuizWorks with a brief of “Maximum Participation-Maximum Engagement”.

The Solution

Weekly contests were created on Twitter and Facebook pages of IBM Social Genius as pre-event publicity. Prizes such as Blackberry Torch and Nokia phones were awarded to the winners.
At the conclave, a quiz based activity titled “IBM Social Genius” was held with questions relating to social instruments, social inter connectivity, social intelligence, and general & business trivia. The target audience were CIOs/ IT managers, project/program managers, C-level executives.

Results

Online contests received more than 2000 likes and 500 shares over a period of 3 weeks. At the conclave, over 100 people registered and participate at the event.

IBM The Great Mind Challenge (TGMC) is an annual nationwide software development competition, created by the Academic Initiative of IBM. The competition currently takes place in India, Israel, China, Ireland and Switzerland.

IBM had successfully initiated The Great Mind Challenge in 2004 across India. Though the competition received great participation in the initial years, IBM wanted to drive higher adoption and engagement about the event among third year and final year students in engineering colleges, thus receive higher participation for their open source software competition.

The Solution

QuizWorks teamed up with IBM’s Academic Initiative team and designed a contest as a precursor to The Great Minds Challenge. As a part of this contest, QuizWorks ran a series of three online quizzes and 4 offline quizzes in Pune, Bhubaneshwar, Chennai and Bangalore.
The quizzes were designed to cover topics ranging from technology currents affairs and general technology trivia to current technology trends and IBM tools.

Results

The quizzes, designed and delivered by the QuizWorks team, had a strong flavor of cutting edge IBM applications which helped increase the awareness of IBM technology software and solutions among the young engineering graduates. With 2000+ engaged participants through the quizzes, IBM increased their paper submissions for The Great Mind Challenge and also successfully established IBM TGMC as the most recalled Campus event in India according to the AC Nielsen Campus Track!

Johnson and Johnson – Stars of Sterrad

Client

J&J conducts workshops to highlight the features of its Advanced Sterilization Products and its consumables among the technicians at medical institutions.

The Challenge

The workshops conducted were low on engagement and learning. J&J approached QuizWorks to increase the learning effectiveness and engagement of the module.

The Solution

An engagement plus learning module titled “STARS OF STERRAD” was designed. The day long programme consisted of ‘gamified’ sessions where each session was followed by an assessment. Each session was presented as a quest/challenge that medical technicians need to overcome in order to complete the workshop. This methodology helped in re-enforcing the key learning outcomes of each session.

Results

The programme increased learning by 70%. The gamified conferences were held in Hyderabad, Kochin, Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore.

Konnect Konsultants is a strategic education marketing solutions provider. To create awareness of a leading Australian university among Indian school students, a tech quiz contest was designed. Aimed at high school students in Hyderabad, the quiz promoted the various courses and programs offered for higher education. The quiz was highly interactive and received positive approval ratings from the audience.
89% of the audience polled said that they were now aware of the Australian university and 75% of them expressed a positive interest to enquire.

Sikkim Manipal University organized a corporate activation across Bangalore and Pune to promote their offerings at the BPO campus of a leading tech company. The aim was to increase sign ups to their courses among the target audience. 

Key features and benefits that one can gain by signing up for the courses were communicated through a gamified quiz session and flash cards. Quiz sessions were informative and engaging. 900 leads were generated over 2 days with 20% signs ups for the courses.

As a leading business process consulting firm, Minacs were looking at a gamified solution to impart process improvement of Team Leaders for one of its telecommunications client. The objective was to teach Customer Service Agents to identify up-selling and cross selling opportunities based on inbound enquiries from customers.

Taking into consideration the KPI’s, QuizWorks designed an online initiative called as “Treasure Hunt” – where CSR agents were trained to identify selling opportunities. The Quality Assurance team would approve the calls nominated by the agents. As a result of this intervention, the approval rates of such calls saw an increase from 8% to 33%. This resulted in a revenue increase of 15%.

As a company looking to enhance its image as a “leading tech company”, NetApp wanted to connect with M.Tech students across selected institution in India. Continuing its efforts in building university relations, the “NetApp Tech Maestro” event was launched. Teams from 12 institutions competed at the Grand Finale held at Bangalore.

Questions were based on tech domains, with a focus on NetApp innovations and general company information. The event received a positive response with over 90% of the participants saying they were “better aware of NetApp” as a company.

New Zealand Education - Quizworks

Kiwi Mastermind India

Client

Education New Zealand, the education arm of New Zealand High Commission, wanted to reach out to the student community in India to with an objective of positioning New Zealand as a favorable destination for higher education.

The Challenge

QuizWorks approached the New Zealand High Commission with a customized concept note to tap into the student community. “Kiwi Mastermind India” Challenge was designed.

The Solution

Knowing that 18-25 year old students spend most of their time on Facebook, weekly contests were held on Facebook. Questions were based on the heritage and top universities of New Zealand. A website was also designed that served as a “one-stop information portal”. Registration details for their annual fair and the live quiz events were captured from this source.
As part of their fairs in Pune and Kochi, live quiz events were held. Open to all post- graduate and undergraduate students, over 200 teams across both cities participated in this event.

Results

Through this activity, Edu New Zealand was able to reach out to over 2500 students over a three week long duration. The event also led to an increase of 10% in student’s applications to New Zealand universities.

Paul Writer is India’s largest community of marketers with a goal to raise the bar for marketing in India through providing thought leadership, conferences and advisory services. Paul Writer’s community comprises over 25,000 senior executives and marketers across its virtual and offline platforms.

The Challenge

As part of the One India Brand Summit held in Bangalore, Paul Writer was looking at mediums of interactive contests to engage the target segment of CMO’s, VP’s and Brand Managers.

 

The Solution

QuizWorks devised an interactive quiz contest titled the “Brand Quiz”. A set of 15 highly engaging questions (text, visuals and Audio Video format) around India’s leading brands were featured in this open quiz.

 

Results

95% of the audience participated in this fun quiz. 90% of the target segment felt it was highly engaging content.The quiz contest was held again at the Delhi Edition of the Brand Summit.

As a nonprofit organization, Petroleum Conservation and Research Agency (PCRA) is a national government agency engaged in promoting energy conservation among Indian public. To spread this message among the Indian youth, PCRA launched the Fuel Savings League Quiz – which was an innovative quiz aimed at teaching school students on conservation of petroleum and associated products.

With regional finals held across 8 Indian cities, the quiz was based on energy and environment. More than 2000 children participated in the event; and as a result, this event increased awareness on most of the neglected environmental issues.

High Street Phoenix Mall in Lower Parel, Mumbai organized a ‘Biz Quiz’ with an aim to engage corporates from all sectors. Since many corporate houses are based in and around the Lower Parel area; to enhance its brand salience, High Street Phoenix wanted to reach out to this community to increase footfalls at the mall.”  The quiz was created on topics including fashion, retail, pop culture, and brands to promote ‘in-mall’ recall. Over 200 people participated in the event.

To generate pre-event buzz and serve as a registration tool, an online quiz was designed and promoted on FB pages. The event was promoted through e-mailers, social media channels and a poster drive in the area. On the day of the event, participants were divided into teams of two for the preliminary written round. The top three teams from the written round along with two wild card entry teams battled it out in the final round.

Puma Great Gunners Challenge - Quizworks

As part of their co-branding exercise with Arsenal FC, PUMA launched a series of new merchandise across all their retail stores.

The Challenge

Puma needed to train their retail sales reps on the new merchandise and best sales practices. The team was geographically spread across 20 Indian cities and the Puma management emphasized on a go-to-market time of less than 3 weeks.

Puma’s regular approach to train employees utilising classroom training was producing less than desirable results.

The Solution

QuizWorks deployed Playday, its gamified training product, for 400+ Puma retail employees. A football based game journey, titled ‘The Great Gunners Challenge’, was designed, which consisted of modules related to the history of Arsenal, PUMA Merchandise and Best Sales Practices. The challenge was open for 7 days where employees could learn and compete against one another.

Results

90% adoption rate.

81% of the employees completed the entire training module.

82% of them attained the learning benchmark set by Puma.

Rajagiri National Business Quiz - Quizworks

Client

Rajagiri Centre for Business Studies is among the top Business schools of South India and was looking to enhance their brand salience across India.

The Challenge

RCBS approached QuizWorks with a brief of creating a customized quizzing property to reach out to corporates and institutions in India. Hence, the “Rajagiri National Business Quiz” was created.

The Solution

The first phase consisted of 3 weekly online prelims where contestants could register themselves in teams of 2. The event was further divided into a Student and Corporate track. A Grand Finale was held with top 3 student teams facing off with top 3 corporate teams.

Results

Held since 2009, the quiz receives an annual registration of over 1000 teams- making it one of the biggest quizzing properties in India. The quiz is telecasted on CNN IBN. The event has been sponsored by companies such as Dhanalakshmi Bank, Deccan Chronicle, ebay.in, Jos Allukas and Peringhat.

Randstad is a € 16.6 billion global provider of HR services and the second largest staffing organization in the world. From temporary staffing to permanent placement to search & selection, HR Solutions and Inhouse, Randstad holds top positions around the world and has approximately 28,030 corporate employees working from 4,587 branches and inhouse locations in 40 countries.

The Challenge

Randstad India was looking to enhance their brand salience through their association with Williams F1 team.
Randstad India approached QuizWorks with an approach brief of connecting with the student community- who constitute the bulk of auto and tech enthusiasts.

The Solution

A multi-level contest was designed to engage the student community and test their analytical and reasoning skills along with their F1 awareness. The activity consisted of 3 phases- an online quiz, case study presentation and a live offline quiz event.
The online quiz (FB App) and case study tested the analytical and reasoning abilities of the contestants. The live offline quiz event was solely based on the world of F1. Winners were given an opportunity to do an internship with Williams F1 team.

Results

Reliance Commercial Finance (RCF) is a member of the Reliance Capital family that provide an exhaustive suite of financial solutions. With operational presence over 80 locations in India, it proudly claims to be the fastest growing non-banking financial companies in India.

The Challenge

RCF wanted to create a learning environment within the organization to spread awareness on general business information and engage employees.

The Solution

Thus, “Knowledge Tycoons” was designed which is an interactive knowledge forum created with the objective of enabling employees to engage across deliveries and teams. Mailers and posters were designed and circulated across all branches of RCF to create the initial buzz and solicit registrations. The portal featured constant market updates, product information and live quizzes. Online Prelims were held to shortlist the teams for regional rounds. Live quizzes were held at Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Results

The quiz events drew a participation of over 300 employees- making it one of the largest ever corporate contests to be held at RCF.

The People First Quiz is SHRM India’s initiative aimed at celebrating today’s employees and HR professionals through interactive sessions that spark off healthy dialogue and diverse viewpoints among HR practitioners. Questions were based solely on HR related concepts keeping in mind the theme of the conference and the target audience of CHROs, VPs and Senior Managers of L&Ds and recruitments.

QuizWorks designed and implemented the offline event which was participated by over 100 teams across the 3 cities and also saw the VP-HR, GM- Training, Head of Learning and Development, CHRO etc. in the audience profile.

Span Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. - Quizworks

Client

Span Healthcare Pvt Ltd is a leading company in the field of transfusion medicine. They sell a range of products in the field of Automated Blood Technologies that significantly enhance the safety of blood and blood products used in various clinical settings.

The Challenge

SPAN Healthcare did not have a standardised system in place for induction and policy learning of new joinees.They were looking out for a solution that provided their new joinees with an induction experience that made learning engaging and interesting while helping the management measure their learning.

The Solution

QuizWorks deployed Playday, its gamified onboarding solution, for induction of 100 new joinees. A world map based game journey titled ‘SPAN SUPERSTARS’ was designed, which consisted of modules such as About the Company, Office Procedures, Service Conditions and Code of Conduct.

The challenge was open for 3 weeks where employees could learn and compete against one another.

Results

92% adoption rate.

76% of the employees completed the entire training module.

Employees spent an average time of 7 mins per day on the onboarding platform.

SPAN loved it so much that it is currently using Playday for Product Training as well.

Tata Powers were evaluating an online tool to onboard 3 cadres of employees- Engineer Trainees, Management Trainees and Finance Trainees.

The Challenge

The existing modules were disengaging and their workforce was spread geographically. Moreover, their employees had diverse abilities to learn and Tata Power was looking to standardize the process

The Solution

QuizWorks deployed, Playday- our award winning e-induction tool. Extensive modules of About The Company, Code of Conduct, Safety Policies, etc were categorized into mini-modules and were made visually engaging. A game narrative of “Around the World” was designed to standardize the experience. Points, Badges and Leader board were created to promote completion.

Results

 Completion rates were at 90%.74% of the employees felt it was Highly Engaging content and 83 % felt that the content presented was highly Relevant. 96 % says that they would like to come back again if needed more information.

Tata Motors ChallengeNext

Client

As part of their Horizonnext philosophy, Tata Motors wanted to connect with technology and auto enthusiasts across the country to build world class experiences around their Zest and Bolt models.

The Challenge

Tata Motors approached QuizWorks to create an online platform to connect with the prospective Sec A buyers across the country.

The Solution

QuizWorks designed a two phase interactive contest to connect with the audience named “Challengenext”. Phase 1 consisted of an online contest containing questions based on General Automotive Affairs and Auto technology. Phase 2 consisted of a Slogan Contest that was promoted on Facebook and Twitter Pages. The contest was opened to corporate in Pune, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Delhi.

Results

3500+ people registered and participated for the “ChallengeNext- Zest Contest” during the 2 week long programme. Currently, 2000 people have registered and participated for “ChallenegNext-Bolt” contest (As of Feb 23rd)

Times of India Ignite 2014

Client

The Times of India (TOI) is an Indian English-language daily newspaper. It is the largest newspaper in India by circulation and largest selling English-language daily in the world. VIT University formerly called Vellore Engineering College is an Indian institute of higher education that draws students from 50 countries as well as from every state in India. It has campuses both at Vellore and Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Vellore Institute of Technology is regarded as one of the top and premier institutions for engineering education in India.

The Challenge

VIT University and The Times of India conducts IGNITE, an inter-school science and mathematics challenge, designed to bring out the competitive streak in every smart kid across the country.

The Solution

QuizWorks was approached to create the National Finals for IGNITE.
Top 11 students across the country were selected for the National Finals to be held in VIT, Vellore after two phases of elimination conducted at city level. The quiz was structured around Science and Mathematics and questions tested the analytical, reasoning and logical abilities of the contestants. The quiz was telecasted by Times Now

Results

The televised finals helped engrave the brand image of VIT and TOI, as an entity which drives science and innovation initiatives, among the student community and positioned them as a preferred choice. The winners were given once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit NASA.

Times Ascent Engineering Mastermind - Quizworks

Client

Times Ascent, the weekly supplement of The Times of India newspaper that focuses on human resource development, employment and job opportunities, wanted to build its brand presence among the corporate.

The Challenge

To create a brand recall, “Engineering Mastermind” was created to celebrate Engineer’s Day that falls on September 15th every year. QuizWorks was approached by Times Ascent to create the annual quiz property.

The Solution

A series of Facebook contests were conducted that served as a pre-event teaser two weeks prior to start of the event. Live offline quizzes were held at Bangalore, Pune, Mumbai and Delhi with National Finals at Mumbai.

Results

Started in 2012, the event is the biggest Engineering Based Quiz in the country. Over 500 teams participate annually.

As one of India’s leading overseas education consultants, The Chopra’s conducted the Brain Box quiz across Kathmandu, Delhi and Chennai to educate college students on studying in Europe and Australia as well as to increase its brand awareness. The event had two parts – a Business Quiz for management students and an Engineering Quiz for Engineering Students.

Important messaging on foreign universities and their benefits were reinforced through the event. Having registered a turnout of over 500 students, over 90% of the students said they were better aware of foreign courses and expressed an interest to sign up through Chopras.

Ultratech Cements held “Con-Quest” – a state wide Civil Engineering quiz contest heldi in Madhya Pradesh aimed at tapping the talents of India civil engineering students for possible recruitment. Client

WIPRO has its Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) vertical based out of Chennai and has over 3500 consultants who are actively engaged with top customers of the CPG industry.

The Challenge

The company felt that its employees within the CPG domain and other verticals have an affinity towards quizzing and that there are many “hidden talents” in the team which needs to be unearthed, nurtured and appreciated.

WIPRO approached QuizWorks to create a structured and managed programme on knowledge research and information dissemination to help its employees turn into effective quizzers.

The Solution

QuizWorks rolled out “Q-Connect” for the employees of the company. Q – Connect was a structured and managed programme for a duration of three months.

It consisted of weekly quiz sessions of 2 hours each and every one of them was an interactive session, discussing the happenings in the CPG world. It also encompassed discussions of general business and technology.

Results

The programme was attended by more than 300 employees each week. WIPRO is now a consistent top performing team at Tata Crucible- India’s biggest corporate quiz.

As a global entity famous for promoting wildlife awareness and conservation, WWF organises the Wild Wisdom Quiz – as an opportunity to sensitize students towards India’s rich biodiversity and natural heritage.
